Cosmopolitan Magazine
In the beginning I was very skeptical about my essay but after the peer reviews and the conference I felt very confident and happy about my essay. One of the metaphors, I guess you can say, about my essay is that I tried to mirror it to Cosmopolitan. Cosmo is very blunt when they talk about things in their magazine and I felt that I couldn't sugarcoat anything in my magazine or else I would fall short in my points. One thing that I was happy is that as I was writing the essay I deleted filler points because the more I wrote, the more I realized that I had a lot more meaningful things to say. In fact, I was getting pretty close to running out of room for a 10 page paper that at first I was scared that I wouldn't reach the minimum. Another thing is I only had one draft because there wasn't much to change. Originally I was going to talk write about other points but I realized that I didn't have too so I deleted it without ever writing it. The essay in my mind changed a lot but the essay on paper didn't really since I never got to the points that I would later delete (which is a good thing because I would hate to delete a whole page and half).
